By addressing the limitations of conventional tanks, the Premium-Plus series sets a new standard for reliability and performance in water storage systems. This article explores the innovative design, model variations, and operational advantages of the Premium-Plus series, demonstrating why it outperforms traditional solutions.

2. DESIGN AND FEATURES

* Material and Construction:

The Premium-Plus tank series is constructed from high-quality 304-grade stainless steel, known for its excellent corrosion resistance and durability in harsh, humid or saline environments. Each tank is polished to a mirror-like finish, combining reliable performance with an elegant, visually appealing design.

* Internal Structure:

The pressure tank is divided into two main chambers by a flexible butyl rubber diaphragm. The water chamber is lined with an FDA-approved polypropylene (PP) liner, which is secured to the tank wall by a stainless steel washer and paired with an NSF-certified butyl rubber air seal diaphragm. This design prevents direct water contact with the metal shell, ensuring purity and corrosion-free longevity. The diaphragm dynamically adjusts to changes in water volume, maintaining consistent pressure and preventing waterlogging. Water enters the tank through a patented leak-safe stainless steel connection, ensuring a completely leak-free system. The air chamber is pre-charged with nitrogen to enhance pressure stability and reduced maintenance needs. A brass air valve, sealed with a threaded O-ring cap, prevents air leaks and allows for precise pressure adjustments.

4. HOW PREMIUM-PLUS WORKS INSIDE A SYSTEM

Premium-Plus pressure tanks operate similarly to the Pumplus working in the pump system as the following 4 stages:

• Stage 1: Compression Phase (Tank Filling)

The pump draws water from the source (e.g., well, reservoir) and pushes it into the water chamber of the tank, which is separated from the air chamber by a flexible rubber diaphragm. As more water enters the chamber, the diaphragm flexes upward, compressing the nitrogen gas in the air chamber. This increases internal pressure until it reaches the system’s pre-set maximum (e.g., 50 PSI). At this point the pump automatically shuts off, while the tank retains pressurized water for immediate use.

• Stage 2: Expansion Phase (Water Discharge)

When a valve or faucet opens, water is drawn from the tank. The compressed nitrogen gas in the air chamber expands, pushing the flexible rubber diaphragm downward and forcing water out of the tank. Water flows through the system without reactivating the pump, ensuring consistent pressure. As water exits, air chamber pressure decreases (e.g., to 40 PSI).

• Stage 3: Pump Reactivation (Tank Refill)

When air chamber pressure drops to the pre-set minimum (e.g., 20 PSI), the pump automatically restarts to refill the tank. Water re-enters the tank, compressing the air chamber. The pump continues to run until the tank is fully refilled and the pressure reaches its maximum setpoint again. The pump stops again once maximum pressure is restored.

• Stage 4: System Stabilization

When the faucet closes, water stops flowing out of the tank. The tank remains pressurized, ready to deliver water instantly for the next use. The leak-proof diaphragm and nitrogen charge maintain stable pressure even during inactivity.
